The Role of the Media
Why is the Media so important to politics?
The Media is what gets candidate's messages out to the people of the nation, gets their name to spread, to gain support, and to bash their opponent in the ground with commercials that American's dread seeing by the time the election rears it's ugly head.
What happens if the Media likes the candidate?
If you have the Media's support, the public will usually see you in a better light, especially those who are easily persuaded and those who don't consider themselves to be a part of one political party or another. Remember that elderly lady you saved from death when you carried her nine miles to the hospital after she broke her hip, and then paid her medical bills? Of course you do, because you want votes!
What happens if the Media doesn't like the candidate?
If the Media doesn't like you, you'll be able to find, without fail, every single aspect of your life blown out proportion and out for all of the potential voters to see and judge you with. Remember that time you viciously and maliciously kicked a puppy so hard that it died? No? Well, the media sure does! Remember that incredibly stupid racist/sexist/homophobic thing you said back in the 5th grade? Slightly? Well, look, you admitted to it! If you ever get into politics, there's always going to be bad media of you going around.
